Week 1-2

  • Introduction to the car design principle.

  • Why the car designer role is important

  • Fundamentals of line sketching and automotive sketching exercises.


Week 3-4

  • Fundamentals of perspective sketching for car design.

  • Car design fundamentals on PSD methodology.

  • Car design terminology and side view sketching.


Week 4-5

  • Basic form studies for perspective car sketches

  • Automotive expressive sketching studies analysis of car design sketches and building fundamentals to deliver emotive sketches

Week 6-7

  • Advance car perspective sketching for emotive sketches

  • Car reference study to build a mental visual library and techniques to create appealing car theme sketches.


Week 7-8

  • Advance expressive sketches for car sketching and automotive perspective for sketch communication.

  • Automotive brand study for understanding brand language, brand Philosophy and concept car studies.


Week 9-10

  • Choosing the topic of automotive brands for sketching thesis.

  • Study of brand design language and concept cars.

  • Thematic dynamic sketches to represent car brand language.


Week11-12

  • Developing car design sketch board to represent the brand style.

  • Final thesis presentation.
